Beachcombers

Beachcombers
16"x12" Sepia-Blue Split Toned Print

I had been working on the beach under the Pier in Cromer early in the morning in March 2004. When I had finished I had three frames left on the roll of film in the camera and so decided to expose it as then I could develop it and free up the camera body when I got back.
I moved along the beach to the right of the Pier and set up the camera as the sky had become quite dramatic. All I really needed was a sense of scale to the vast area in the frame, after waiting a while a guy and his German shepherd dog out for their morning stroll came from behind me. I waited until they were perfectly positioned and after developing the film knew I had something special.
