Freezing Fog

12"x16" & 20"x16" Selenium Tone Print
Blickling lake over the Christmas period 2005. The Hall had been shrouded in murk for a while when I arrived and the light was very poor. I decided to set up the camera anyway and wait, as I liked the frozen desolate look of the lake and trees.
After about half an hour the light improved slightly and I still had a little feeling left in my fingers so made a few exposures, but after packing away the equipment the freezing fog had descended from behind the Hall and the composition was gone!
