Rooms with a View
20"x16" Sepia-Blue Split Toned Print

Old Hunstanton with its beach huts scattered about in the dunes is somewhere I have often returned to with cameras.
These huts the way they sit up in the dunes overlooking the sea is striking, very much “Rooms with a view” I feel they are some of the best on the Norfolk coast.
To get the best from pure landscape photography, sometimes you have to study mans inclusions that make and have changed the landscape as we see it!
Although I generally prefer the light of early morning, I shot this image in mid August 2004 on a very warm summers afternoon to get the best from the suns position on the subject, and help the extremely slow infrared film used.
Because of this the light was just behind my right shoulder, which flared beautifully as it struck the side of the huts.
