The Scullery

14"x 9.5" Selenium toned print

I came across this forgotten scullery in a derelict Hall, I don’t think anyone had been in the room for 10 years or so.
The leaded window was going green on the outside and was covered with cobwebs inside but diffused the strong sunlight beautifully into the room.
What really made the image work, was the plug left hanging on the right hand side of the sink, held rigid over the years by cobwebs!

I really enjoy this image and have it hanging at home in the kitchen.
